A Chapter ClosesEven though he's in jail, T.I.'s life now finally has a bit of peace. The man who drove a vehicle during an Ohio highway gun battle that killed one of Tip's homies has been sentenced to 17 years in prison.

Padron Thomas, 41, told a judge he was a "knucklehead" for his part in the bloody incident that killed Philant Johnson and wishes he could take it all back. On Wednesday, he was sentenced on gun charges and unrelated fed drug charges.

Thomas testified back in December against his younger brother, Hosea Thomas, who was sentenced to 66 years in prison for the '06 shooting that occurred after a T.I. show in Cincinnati. Three others were injured in the blazing. The Atlanta rapper wasn't hurt.

Thomas received a reduced sentence for his involvement in a drug ring in exchange for his testimony in this case.
